Current ACI-REF Phase I Facilitators
Erin Shaw, University of Southern California
Erin is an Advanced Cyberinfrastructure Research and Education Facilitator (ACI-REF) at USC’s Center for High-Performance Computing (HPC) where she focuses on outreach and education. She comes to HPC from USC’s Information Sciences Institute (ISI) where she was a computer scientist and National Science Foundation investigator. Her research at ISI focused on developing computational technologies to model and assess online learning in engineering, math and science. She was most recently a Co-PI of an NSF technology translation grant to commercialize assessment technology for games programming, for K12 education. Before returning to higher education Erin was a software programmer and a math/science education volunteer with the Peace Corps. She has degrees in mathematics, computer graphics and education.
